Welcome to the 2009 NE IPM Berry Webcasts
This series of berry crop webcasts (internet seminars), funded by the Northeastern IPM Center, is designed to provide interdisciplinary education in pest management to
northeastern US berry crop growers.
Small fruit production and pest issues addressed in this series are those posing the greatest challenge to northeastern
growers, and those issues that have been the focus of recent research projects.
Topics will be presented by regional expert(s) who will also address ongoing research efforts.
Another objective of this project is to explore the utility of webcasting technology. Will interactive, “real-time” web seminars be accepted by growers as a
valuable and effective approach to grower education?
If so, continued use of this technology will allow agricultural researchers and extension faculty greater ability to utilize
diminishing extension budgets.
Your feedback after participating in one or more of the webcasts will help us answer this question.
